Hi guys,

Just got home from work and started my pc. Running ok etc, then wanted to update my msn. Did that and now nothing is working at all.

This is what happens:

I restart my computer and on the desktop icons and those in the start/programs menu are called .lnk

Nothing runs?? none of the *.exe programs will run when I go my computer->C:\->whatever program and try to run them directly. All of the icons seem to have been replaced by the kind that windows uses when it doesn't know what a file is???

Is this some kind of virus? How can I fix it? Can I fix it? I read on the forum that another member got the same problem as me but he run Windows XP and everything works for him now. Me running Windows Vista and did all the things he wrote etc but still nothing work for me.

Any kind of help is greatly appreciated or if you guys recomend me doing something are more then welcome.

//David

Ps. Sorry for my english, not my first language

Swedrock, Try the exe and/or the lnk file association fixes at the link below. I'd try the exe fix first.
