My computer keeps disconnecting!!!!

Specs: Windows Vista

I just got my computer about a Month ago. Its a vista Home Premium 64-Bit CyberPower PC Desktop. 500GB HD, 1GB Graphics, 4GB Ram, and a AMD Athlon X2 Prossessor. I play WoW and whenever i'm playing about 5 min. in I get diconnected from the server so I log back on and it does it again. It keeps doing that every time I get on. But even when i'm on the Internet its so SLOW! When I try to open an adobe file or download a file it takes forever or it expires even when its only 6.12 MB. I've called my internet provider, The company of my Router, the company of my Adapter, and CyberPower Pc. They all couldn't figure it out. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks for all help.

Although it could be a hardware problem, it sounds to me at least, like an internet traffic problem. Often I'll find that getting bounced out of a server is a traffic issue with the server of the site hosting the game, especially at certain times of day. Are you running off of a router that is being shared within the house? Does anyone in the house use a wireless connection? Multiple lines using the same router tend to disconnect at least one and sometimes all users connected to them if it becomes overloaded and only the wireless runs. As for your internet running slow, are you running IE8? Try installing and using Firefox to see if that speeds things up. My daughter recently had this issue and it drastically sped up her internet connection.

I have 4 computers running of the router and there all Wirless (2 Decktops 1 XP and 1 Vista and 2 Laptops that run XP). The Router is Netgear. But every other computer in the house runs like new except my Vista Desktop. I use to have a Netgear Adapter but this problem happened so I took it back because the support there wasn't able to help. So I bought a Linksys USB Adapter but the computer still had the same problem and all the hardwares support people said that I should call CyberPower. Thats where i'm at right know. I'll try firefox. But what I don't get is that I have a friends that runs a Vista Desktop and has the same programs and games as I do and they never have that problem and there computers (4 desktops) are all in the same room and they never seem to have a problem and the IE8 is fast.

Thanks

Hopefully that helps you, but the multiple connections to one router do my head in at our house. If a computer is turned on, both of the XBox's are disconnected from XBox Live. Again, although it might not be your problem, you figure although you have lots of connections, you're still dealing with only one router.

Also, run Malware Bytes on your system and check for trojans. If you're using the system for gaming, a lot of people who have games which used various versions of SecuRom (I hate this program) as DRM found that the programs periodic connections to the internet somehow infected their PC's with trojan viruses. My daughter also had this problem. You can also run Kapersky (I think that's what it's called) to check. She had AVG 8.5 paid version yet trojans were still able to sneak under the radar and completely destroy her computers performance, especially the internet.
