My acer aspire 5315 wont boot up?

December 28, 2010 at 13:27:25
Specs: Windows Vista
On boot up it says windows failed as there could be a hardware problem, gives options for repair or start up windows normally, does not let me do either of them. I pressed f8 on startup to give more options and it will not let me do either of them either.

Rather than using the recovery / repair options from you hard drive you could use your Windows Vista CD/DVD.

If you don't have one (as is normally the case these days) you can download the vista recovery CD from this page (you probably need the 32 bit version):

these are torrent links so you will need to install a small torrent client. I recommend utorrent which can be downloaded from here:

Once you have downloaded this ISO file, you will need to burn it "As an image" using the burn image option of your burning software. If you burn it any other way the CD will not work.

When everything else fails, read the instructions.
