Maybe it's time for us Vista Users to dump Vista for Win7. MS General manager for corporate strategy is quoted as saying Windows Vista is a less good product during an investor's conference last Tuesday.

I wonder if Steve Ballmer agrees.

I think that for many people running XP Sp2 happily on there old machines , running all they wanted , an upgrade was a mistake but for new hardware Vista has proved to be reliable and pretty .
We cannot pretend that XP was as good at first , " It's a load of rubbish I'm going back to 98" , After Sp2 that all changed .
Am I upgrading to 7 ? , I have already ordered a copy , what hardware ? , I don't know yet because I'm happy with Vista , It ain't broke , not another Win-ME .
As for MS they have to say something to get people to buy 7 , cynical maybe but it is M$ we are talking about .

XP looked great after suffering with ME.

Same with W7. After Vista a hit on the head would be better.

Win-ME was abandoned by the industry so a lack of support for drivers and program compatibility , was wrong with Me .

On it's own great .

They did the same thing with Win95 when Win98 first shipped. Remember the print ad with the BSOD on Win95?
