A week ago, the scroll wheel on my mouse stopped scrolling in Firefox, word/excel documents, and anything else with a scrolling page. However, it does work in some games (Team Fortress 2 and Warhammer Online). The last time I remember it working is right before I opened up an online textbook that (I think) uses flash. The website was www.classzone.com . I have tried updating my drivers, switching mice, switching ports, virus scans, and rebooting, but to no avail.

Did you try uninstalling the mouse within device manager and then re-booting without any mouse? If not try that, then shut down (once again) and plug in the mouse before you re-start the computer. XP should build new drivers for the mouse if there was issues with it.

I can scroll in Internet Explorer and some text boxes now, but still unable to in Firefox, Word, and a few other menus. I am using Vista, not XP, if that makes any difference.
