mouse problem

OS: xp pro
CPU/Ram: ATHLON 64x2 3800 2GIG DDR

hello since i have installed vista i cant open anything with double click..(nothing happens not with one click either)
i am using a microsoft wireless optical mouse with the vista drivers
it works if i right click then click open
but not if i double click..
i also have another unrelated problem but have made another post for it

See control panel mouse settings.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

excellent it was in activities somehow the microsoft mouse drivers moved the setting
thanks as a little problem like this can be so fustrating
