I Use Acer labtop . Modem conexant softv90 smartcp can't diagnostic and use. I see device manager . Vista Detect Modem is Ac'97 Audio . I search for correct Driver I can't use Xp'Driver

Are you running Vista as the only OS on the "labtop"? If so, that might not be such a good idea.

There have been reports of Vista not supporting some mainstream dialup modems out there - I have a friend whose Agere modem isn't working with Vista.
I think M$ in it's wisdom, doesn't believe anyone that is still on dialup should qualify for Vista ;-(
