Missing Icons?

In the start menu, to the right I have no icons. Meaning for printer, search, run, computer, help, control panel, etc. I've searched for a way to turn them on, even wondered if they're not any now under Vista. I use Icon Packager and yesterday I finally got around to installing that and hoped it would add the missing icons. Nothing. Are there not supposed to be any there now in Vista? I looks bare and horrible. Thanks for your help. Maureen.
