Mirascan driver

July 21, 2009 at 00:22:29
Specs: Windows Vista, Intel core 2 Duo CPU P8400@2.26GHz/ 4GB

I am having a Acer Scanner s2w 3300U and it came with Mirascan 4.03. it used to work on Windows XP. I installed this software v4.03 on my laptop with Windows Vista and after restarting the computer, the 'found new hardware message says 'Flatbed Scanner 22'. And then it asks to update this driver from Microsoft update. The scanner does not work at all and I get the message that the scanner is not on or that the usb cable needs to be inserted firmly. pl advise which driver to be used?

... download: http://www.irfanview.com/

... once installed open "file" (tab) select twain source

... it may then use the scanner if found + the other software ($)
should kick in, when you click on "Aquire" !
