I am having a Acer Scanner s2w 3300U and it came with Mirascan 4.03. it used to work on Windows XP. I installed this software v4.03 on my laptop with Windows Vista and after restarting the computer, the 'found new hardware message says 'Flatbed Scanner 22'. And then it asks to update this driver from Microsoft update. The scanner does not work at all and I get the message that the scanner is not on or that the usb cable needs to be inserted firmly. pl advise which driver to be used?

I saw one advice that pl use Vuescan. i installed this software. it shows the required scanner also in its listing. when i connect my acer s2w 3300U scanner , it show that flatbed22 scanner found and the driver gets installed successfully. but on Vuescan window again shows that no scanner found. Can some body help me.
