Hello. I need your help! I have Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 installed on my computer. One of the programs I have installed is Microsoft Streets & Maps 2007. I have no problems installing this core part of the software. At the conclusion of the core part of the software being successfully installed, I get the part that I elect to select the option "Install Windows Live Local for Outlook after Streets & Trips is finished." When I do and proceed, I immediately get a message that is titled, "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem". It states, "C:\Users\TROY\AppData\Local\Temp\LEO_SE~1.exe The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal operation. CS:11ee IP:63 74 0d 0a 20 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application." What is going on? I need to get this part of the software installed.

Now, I have installed Streets & Trips as a fresh install in the past on same previously installed operating system electing this option to install Windows Live Local for Outlook. I received no issues installing the Windows Live Local option at that time. This time I did. I have read online that Windows Vista does not support 16bit programs from a few sources. Yet, some users say that Vista does support them. Well, if I have been able to install the optional program before without any issues, than I know Vista can.

I ran a few times System File Checker and still when I re-install the software, I still get the 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem error message.

Is there anything else I may be overlooking regarding the whole big scheme of things beyond the config.nt issue?

PLEASE HELP ME!!!
THANKS!!!

I searched it on Google and 2 other people had the same problem. So far no solution but one said that Vista 32 bit will accept it and 64 bit won't.
