I have a memory card of 2GB.when i attach my card to My computer (Running windows vista) it only shows 1GB capacity in it.
when i attach it to my brother's computer it shows capacity 2Gb.and it could store data 2GB
but on vista it only stores 1Gb
Can anyone help me to fix the problem please?

your motherboard doesn't support 2gb, but your brother's motherboard does. Did you upgrade the memory yourself? If so, you might want to check the motherboard specs to see the maximum it will support (which is apparantly 1 gb)

your usb flash drive and a memory stick are 2 completely different technologies.

I know both are different technologies.
me and my brother have same model computer.only difference is operating systems. he is running Xp and i m running Vista.
i m sure that is not hardware problem

This is a little confusing: If you're having a problem with a 2GB memory card showing full capacity, then waht does a 4 Gb usb flash drive have to do with that ? If the problem is with the 4 Gb usb flash drive, then it's possible that Vista is using some of the capacity for ready boost. But Vista doesn't use memory cards for ready boost as far as I know.

It's good that you fixed the problem, but just out of curiousity, what USB settings in the Bios did you change ?
