I am unable to access any secured sites like online banking and hotmail on Vista OS with McAfee antiVirus/firewall installed. I have no problem using same McAfee on XP. I had to uninstall antivirus to access secured websites. Any suggestions how to make this work?

Try these FREE programs instead of McAfee.
Note: These perform MUCH BETTER THAN MCAFEE AND NORTON AND THEY ARE FREE!!! You will need to use ALL the programs listed for full security. I use them and they are terrific! You will need to uninstall McAfee if you use these programs.

Hi amitonweb; I assume you're your using Mcafee virus scan plus 3in1 for XP. Either a boxed or subscription version.
Either way you will need to update it to a Vista compatible version. As long as you only have it on one computer and your service hasn't expired the upgrade is free.
Depending on which way you purchased Mcafee or whether your Vista is an upgrade from XP there will be a couple different ways to do this. http://cs.mcafeehelp.com/default.asp
Click on Customer Service at the above link. Then look for Vista.
Of course this assumes that Mcafee is the issue. Seems it is for you;
