hello took a hdd out of a comp and changed the hdd from master to slave to fix it in my comp then put it back but forgot to change back the hdd from slave to master it worked fine when i put it out will it make a difference if there is only one drive its ide not sata drive

If it's working, as-is, it really boils down to how fussy you are about details. As far as the likelihood of a performance hit resulting from the configuration, I'm not aware of any.
