How generous of them.

The program is designed to run through the entire product lifecycle of Windows Vista; thus, no end date has yet been established.

For cost comparison...

Check the additional license prices set by M$ HERE against what it cost to buy the original Vista DVD HERE.

The difference rounds out to be about 10% - with M$'s 45-day money back guarantee. Notice on M$ page that you can buy additional licenses only for the same edition you have.

Yet again, only in North America. We in Britain pay twice the price, don't have the Family offer, and don't have this one either.

Will you blame M$ for the high price of gas in Britain too..........LOL

Everything flatout cost more over there - not just software. It must be the monarchy system ;-)

Yes, every thing costs more over here, and for that I blame our government more than anyone else, and the EU second.

But that doesn't mean that MS *has* to jump on the bandwagon and rip us poor British people off - it chooses to. And it certainly doesn't mean that they should arbitrarily decide not to make these multiple purchase discounts available to us.

As for the monarchy system, at least our head of state doesn't have resort to ballot rigging to get the gig.

This is one of those things I really disagree with Microsoft about. I like Microsoft products, but they charge WAAAAAAAAAAY too much for their software.

For the home, their products should be licensed massively discounted especially in the scenario of multiple devices. It's getting to the point now individual family members each have their own computer. For a typical family of four, $1600 of Office Professional is flat out rediculous.

Hey, at least we played a role in electing him. You guys had to fall in line with whoever we picked. :-P

Sorry, couldn't resist...

That's how the rich get richer and considering they really have no competition the cunsomers just have to bite what M$ is charging.

M$ is one big corporation, our government instead of trying to limit what it is trying to do, "take control of "MONOPOLIZE" the computer market" they are allowing it to do whatever it wants. What OS do most banks use?? What OS does the government use? What OS does our federal law enforcement use? What OS does our military use? It is the way of the beast, when you have every one of those branches using M$ products it is kinda hard for our government to put restrictions on them.

Depends on what computers you're referring to. There are several sections of the gov't that makes heavy use of linux for servers for example.
