lost my vista recover DVD

ok worst has come and i need to do a revovery or at last try the partial recovory . But my Packard bell did not come with a DVD and the way it says to do it here http://support.thetechguys.com/layo... pressing F11 just says A disk read error occured Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart so im stuck lol thanks

Maybe you can just do a restore point and you won't need the CD. Can you boot to the desktop? What's wrong with the PC?
