Log off took forever??

Sometimes when i try to shut my pc down it stays forever at the "logging off" screen unless the battery runs out or i shut it down manually... And if i log in again without restoring the system to certain point the system wun run properly.

It kinda scares me. Pls help.

See event viewer to start.

Might have to setup performance monitor log.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

These are the most obvious reasons your computer takes too long to shut down:
1) you have installed an application which doesn't shut down right away when you turn your PC off.
2)Have a look at this article and find out why your computer takes too long to shut down
3) You have too much junk in your pc. clean up your computer. usually when you have a lot of junk your computer might take too long to get rid of these files. Here is a trick how to speed the disk cleanup
