Comment: alright, so I'm really stupid and I don't know anything so ask me for more details and tell me how to get it if you need it. but my problem is that i have a linksys router connected to my telus internet modem, and it was working fine for about a week. now it isn't working. everything is plugged in right, all the right lights are on and everything, i can even connect, according to my computer, but when i go into internet it wont let me connect to any sites what so ever!! Please please please help me. and could you give me step-by-step directions, im new to my computer so i dont know how to get into everything. HI

Reply: (edit)Have you tried turning your modem and router off and let it set for a minute and turn both back on? Have you tried hooking your modem directly into the computer? If it still doesn't work then it's not your router, you can rule that out. Have you tried to hook your modem into another computer to see if you can get a connection? If it works then it's your pc. if it doesn't then it's your modem.

Reply: (edit)ive tried turning them both on and off. didn't work. i dont have another computer available to hook my modem into it, but as soon as i can ill try hooking the modem directly to my laptop. my dad thought it might have been the cord, but i bought a brand new cord for it and it still doesn't work. i really hope there's nothing wrong with the router... but i think it might be because i can connect to other routers in the area HI
