Hewlett-packard G60-530us notebook
November 21, 2009 at 17:28:09
Specs: Windows Vista Home Premum SP2
Embedded links in email or installed programs won't open. I have disabled all pop-up blockers, Kaspersky internet security, and have ensured that IE8 is the default browser. I get the message: "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on your computer. Contact your systen administrator."
Would appreciate your help.

Try this:

Click Start, Default Programs and click "Set program access and computer = "defaults". Click "Custom", select "Internet Explorer" and click OK. Finally reopen Microsoft Outlook and test again.

Good luck..

IE9 will be out soon,a much faster browser than sluggish IE8, untill then, now that you uninstalled IE8 I would suggest you revert back to IE7, works much faster than even Firefox.

I find Firefox just a glorifed version of netscape where you have to download EVERY add-on in order to have it function properly...IE already has those things pre-installed.
Good Luck

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
