HI,
i Have a laptop that can only be started in safe mode.
when it is started in safe mode, unless it's the command prompt safe mode, it allows me to log on, shows the desktop, but then the screen flashes blank and turns it's self off.

If it is started in command promt safe mode it allows me to run commands for a certian amount of time and then switches its self off again.

is there anything in the registry or in the prompt box i can do to fix this problem.

please bare in mind i am a complete philistine and need precise instructions.

thank you

how much memory do you have in your laptop?
i take the 632K ram to be a typo!!!

also, have you installed anything recently, ran a virus scan or spyware scan?
