Specs: Windows 7
Laptop doesn't boot. It gets stuck on the screen where the green scrolling bar runs towards the bottom of the screen with 'Microsoft cor-portion' written under it. I have tried all options available after pressing F8 but still the sytems comes and gets stuck on the same screen. I do have have a repair CD. I read at a few forums that this could be a network driver related issue but i am not sure how to instal the drivers when system in such a scenario. Any idea what could be the problem and how to resolve it?

You can try resetting the BIOS to defaults. If that doesn't help, access the recovery partition using F11. All files will be lost.

Did you try Last known good configuration at F8?

After that, put in the Recovery disk and use the bootsec commands:

You may have to run through these commands three times with reboots in order to clear the logjam.
