Try different usb ports. Try ps2 mouse & keyboard, if you have
those sockets.

Try different keyboard & mouse.

UK MP's are thieving scumbags.
EU members are worse.

The keyboard started working again.
I bought a mouse with a USB connection instead of the other one and it is working!!!!!
