Specs: Windows Vista
It is another post about not loading websites. I have spent the last 2 weeks with this matter and I am pulling the hair out of my head. Dell wants 20% of the actual computer price to fix the problem and I refuse to give them another red cent, please help!
My computer will only load a few websites (ex.Google,, I can scan google results but not link to the pages. I have tried going to safe mode, I have tried reinstalling windows, I have tried the fixes on All have failed. OH, and yes I have turned off the firewalls, however I can't figure out how to remove Norton completely to see if that is the problem. Please remember that I can not link to sites in your replys I am writing this from another computer. The computer pings in and out fine says Comcast and all other comps in the house work just fine. I am becoming way more fluent in computer language than I ever thought I would be just researching this thing.

Uninstall Norton. It has sent many sane people to see a shrink.

If you have no luck uninstalling Norton, go to Symantec web site and find the uninstaller for your particular version of software. Usually just stopping Norton does not solve the problem for you. It must be totally uninstalled.
