Comment:

Is my IBM vista compatable. It has a P4 2.0Ghz, with 768Mb RDRAM(RAMBUS), and a 64mb dvi agp video card, along with a 160Gb 7200Rpm hard drive with 8Mb buffer. I believe this computer can support up to 2gb, but if it can run on 768Mb that will save me some money as rambus memory is expensive.

Yeah but don't expect much, Vista is very demanding and with the current setup that you have right now, it's going to run like a snail on your pc. You're better off with XP.

Download the upgrade advisor and let it do the legwork. You
could run basic, but I imagine it would be rather slow.

I ran vista home basic on 1GB of ram and it was still slow. Best to go with 2GB. Is it worth spending money on that old P4? Vista isnt the cheapest and neither is RD-RAM. Maby its money worth spending on a new PC.
