If you mean 'do they look the same' or 'can I do the same things
with them', then the answer is 'Yes'. 'Under the bonnet' I've got
no idea, but cannot see any reason why they would have
changed there either.

Functionally they are the same except for the tabs.

It would be best to use the correct version. They may look the same and have the same functionality, but don't expect them to be the same internally.

The general rule with any kind of system utility is: if in doubt, don't use it.
