Comment:

I just bought this pc 3 days ago and am having the following issues:

1.) Hyper text non responsive either by right or left clicking.

2.) Access to start menu but was unable to open Documents or Control Panel, non responsive.

3.) 20in ViewSonic LCD widescreen monitor is also brand new. Have set resolution to 1360x768 yet because this isn't the highest res. available I keep getting a blue pop up box dead center of the screen telling me to "1" to cancel and "2" disable the resolution notification (basically telling me my monitor will be better utilized at highest res.). Neither "1" or "2" appears to be doing anything and I'd like to disable this reoccuring message from showing up.

4.) Was adding fav. sites to IE when distracted accidentally added same url twice. Rec'v a pop up of notification that it was a duplicate but there wasn't any options to close out the pop up notification. My only option was to turn pc off via the tower button.

All equipment is brand new to include, mouse and keyboard as well.

Unable to recreate problem at this point. Rebooting cleared up all instances. I am worried it is going to happen again and more consistantly.

Not sure what the problem is but would like some advice. Is my machine defective or are these Vista issues or IE issues?

Unfortunately no.

I guess I'll take it back to the store tomorrow.

Well my PC is only one week old and I had to remove a LOAD of bundled software on it. See if yours has any bundled software and try to remove it, it could be the cause of your problems.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 1MB L2 per core
4GB Dual Channel ECC 667MHZ
320GB SATA RAID 0 7,200RPM
10/100/1000 Gigabit Networking
XFI 7.1 surround sound
ATI XGE X1300 512MB VC 600MHZ
