Specs: Windows Vista
I'm helping fix a friend's computer that has BSOD with the error message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL which others have said to be linked to a bad driver, overheating CPU, and some other less common issues. The computer loads to the Windows Login screen and as soon as it gets past the Welcome Home splash screen it crashes with BSOD. Safe mode loads fine but loading last known good configuration doesn't help.

I have the dump file here:

This might help identify the bad driver and I was hoping someone could help me in doing so.

From Safe Mode type msconfig in the Run box then try temporarily unticking things in Startup. This might tell you what process is causing this issue.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Did a system restore to a few days before the problem occurred and everything has been running smoothly since. Thanks for the response.

Good news - easy to forget that system restore often does the trick with software issues. Thanks for popping back to let us know.
