Comment: My copy of Internet Explorer has disappeared from my Computer. The best HP has to offer is to do a complete recovery which means throwing all my Windows Vista configuration down the drain and all of my programs would have to be reinstalled and lose all of historical data. I don't use IE for my browser, but there are occasions when I'm required to use IE. It seems I could just download another copy, but don't know where I could get that. Does anyone have a solution to help me get out of this problem??? Thanks a mil, Uncle Dewey

Reply: (edit)I have tried this site, but since I have Windows Vista it says I already have Internet Explorer 7 and will not allow me to download a copy. Uncle Dewey

Reply: (edit)Have you tried a system rsoter by rolling back to say a couple days before this happened? If that doesn't work. Do a system repair. system repiar will replace anything that's corrupted but at the same time you will have all your programs intact.

Reply: (edit)It's time to report back. I had tried system repair, but to no avail. So last night after watching Ken Burn's special on WW II I sat staring at my computer and thinking there is no way I could have deleted Internet Explorer--the worst I could have done was delete a shortcut. Then I noticed "System Tools" which had "Options" on the Search menu. One of the options was "Include System Directories" which I checked. And there staring me in the face were several iexplore.exe files. I really feel stupid and I appreciate all you concern and help. Uncle Dewey
