INTEL 945GCNL AND PCIEx16 GFX HELP

Ok i have intel 945gcnl board. Im trying to install a nvidia MSI 8400gs PCIEx16. I plug the card in assuming its plug in pay no power plug ins etc. I get no monitor picture. So i change my main card to PCIEx16 {peg} still not luck NOT SURE WHAT PEG IS when i take the card out of my system the on board video displays fine. IS THERE SOME KIND OF CONFLICT IM NOT SURRE AHHH. lol

Might have to read the instructions with the boards.
Normally I have to either uninstall the current adapter before I install the new adapter or at least install the drivers. Some brands are quite specific on how to get them to work, you just can't plug and play.
The bios plays a big part too. After you install the card like the instructions say you may have to switch the monitor to the onboard video. Then open bios and reset to the new video card then move the monitor back.
