Hey everyone I just got a new 1 Terabyte hard drive for my comp. And I am trying to install it along side my other hard drive that I already had so that I clone it to this new one. But it isn't being recognized in the bios or in disk management and I have tried it hooked up all by itself on sata 1 with the vista disk in but it still didn't recognize it. So I am left with not to many options at this point. If you guys got any please do tell.

Yes they are both sata's. I checked in my mobo manual and it said to put the slave drive on either sata 3/4 so I put it on 4. And the boot drive with the os is on 1 right now. But the slave doesn't show at all but it does seem to see that their is something on that slot but can't fully recognize it.

If you hooked up both sata cord and power cable then it should work, if it is not recognized in the bios or the disk management then you need to RMA it or take it back to the store and have it replaced. If it has a warranty then call the company that it states on the box and call their tech support in which they can send you a drive.
