Comment: do i have to install my recommended and important updates manually or should they install themselves at the set time i.e. every night at 3:00am. they are not installing themselves unless i press the sleep button with the little sheild on it ( the sheild is to let you know that there are updates to install) i thought that they used to install themselves but suddenly they dont and i don't know what happened. If you use Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP, Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later, or Windows Millennium Edition (Me): Configure your settings in your Control Panel to deliver updates to your computer automatically. This is the easiest and most reliable way to make sure that you get new security updates as soon as they become available. To turn on or check your automatic updating settings, click the link that corresponds to the operating system you use. • Windows Vista • Windows XP Service Pack 2 • Windows XP • Windows 2000" Keep your operating system updated: FAQ!
