For anyone interest in beta testing IE8 -- here ya go!
Of course, the above is NOT for everyone, so be advised & make sure to create a restore point or have your machine backed up before you proceed to load the software.
Good luck!

Why beta test IE8 for M$ for nothing when you may win the $100k M$ sweepstake available to those trying out the new Office Live Workspace?

No worries, I still have 67 days ;-)
Oh & BTW .... IE8 gets the cold shoulder from the Microsoft Office Live sign-up page .... see below.
"To use Microsoft Office Live, your computer must meet one of the following requirements:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later, running on Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2003. You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer from the Windows Internet Explorer page.
Firefox 2.0, running on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Mac OS X 10.2.x and later. You can download Firefox 2.0 from the Firefox Download page."Eitherway, my chances are pretty slim with sweepstakes.

This should have been out when Vista SP1 RTM came out back in mid Feb as a final. MS continues to lag behind other free browers.

yup and also it shouldn't take that long to install the browser. Only a few minutes max. firefox 3 beta 3 only took 2 minutes to install. Maybe micro. Will learn something from other browsers.

also I advised downloading it and installing it since microsoft update doesn't recognize the browser. Strike two for microsoft.

Be careful what you wish for....
Some will argue that even the final release of any M$ product is premature & we all certainly know what has happened when M$ does release a product prematurely. LOL!

Wait shouldn't that apply to any product MS makes on any amount of time. I mean, look at Vista when it first came out and it had 5 years. I guess they should have gave Vista an even 10 years and then it would have been perfect. LOL.

Vista would have been perfect if M$ didn't scrapped all they have been doing in the middle of the 5 year long project and start Longhorn all over again for the remaining half. Also from what I read in relate to Vista Capable class action case it was actually Intel that pushed MS to get Vista out the door too soon.
i_Xp/VistaUser

Yeah but you know in the end it's MS fault for deciding to push Vista. I still don't understand how Intel pressured MS, when it should have been the other way around. I mean Intel is what, the 3rd largest Semi Conductor corp on the planet behind IBM and Sun and they were worried about their IGP's not being fully ready? Even little ol VIA got a Vista fully ready gpu out with its Chrome 20's series 14 months before Vista came out and Intel was worried that they couldn't????? It was pure lazyness on Intel's part and MS should have told them ready or not we are still going to release it, because if you remember Vista was suppose to come out in April of 2006, but it got pushed back and I bet a lot of the reason it go pushed back was because of Intel pressuring MS.
