10gb space free out of your total HD/partition capacity which is....???

I think yours may be less than the 20% minimum free space of the drive recommended for optimum performance. Otherwise lots of programs will not install and many essential utilities will quit working or run awkwardly.

BTW you only have 512mb RAM - you will most likely run into many problems running Vista Ultimate.

I have 20gb of Windows Directory with 10gb free space. Also Acrobat 7.0 installs successfully but acrobat 8.0 give that error. Only this program gives that error.
with 512 mb ram i have 128mb Grabphics card so vista ultimate is running well.

There are two Hard Disks

Primary 80GB
Slave 40GB

Windows XP is installed on C:\ Drive

Vista is installed on G:\ Drive

C=10GB

G=20GB

G:\ is the first Partition of slave HD.

Regardless I will never recommend trying to use anything less than 1GB RAM, DDR or DDR2, for all Windows Vista editions especially Ultimate.

Adobe plans to release Adobe Reader 8 in the first half of 2007 to support Windows Vista (Source) First half 2007 implies the period between January 1 2007 and June 30 2007.

A. Turn on UAC.

OR...

B. Set the install file to run in XP compatibility mode.

For your own protection, I would recommend re-enabling UAC. It significantly increases the security of your machine.

This information was posted before in a thread debating UAC that for some reason was deleted by the admin. For this and other reasons, I wish he hadn't done that...
