Subject: IE won't open sometimesOS: Vista Home PremiumCPU/Ram: ?Model/Manufacturer: ? |
Comment: I have a friend with Vista and sometimes when I try to open Internet Explorer, nothing happens. I double-click the icon again, still nothing. I look in the task manager's processes list and there are a bunch of "iexplore.exe" in the list, so I kill them all, try to open again, and still nothing. So I restart the computer, try to open IE, and it opens right away. The computer gets shut down every night, and the next morning you never know if it's going to open or if you're going to have to restart the computer before it will open. I've already scanned the computer for viruses using AVG Free and spyware using Ad-aware and Spybot (although I've heard Spybot isn't as effective as it used to be), and the computer seems to be clean. Any ideas? Thanks

Reply: (edit)DUDE, TELL YOUR FRIEND THAT IF HE DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE ANYMORE PROBLEMS WITH IE, HE SHOULD CHANGE TO FIREFOX. IT WORKS SO MUCH BETTER. I USED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND NOW I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH FIREFOX. ASSMAN
