This is not about my computer. I was talking to my brother on MSN Messenger. He recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista.

Sorry I don't have the other specs at this time. But everytime he starts up his computer an Internet Explorer page opens up blank.

I done some research online and only found a couple of references to this problem but no solution.

Any suggestions. I serched this site as well but couldn't find any matches. My apologies if its already answered here and I overlooked it.

go to run, type in
msconfig.
open startup, uncheck all but systray

A little more specific.

Start
Run:Msconfig
Startup Tab ( At the top towards the right)
Uncheck everything. It will be OK.

You may want to check and see if there is anything launching up on startup using msconfig and Windows Defender.
