OK, here is my problem. I have 3 HDDs and a new MOBO with only one IDE slot. The MOBO came packaged with the IDE to SATA converters but I'm not sure how to convert. The HDD are all Western Digital but they are all different sizes. I have the HDD connected via SATA but they are not recognized. Is there any specific order as to which I'm supposed to connect them? Can my HDDs even work connected through SATA? Any help AT ALL! is appreciated. Thanks.

If your HDDs are connected via SATA, they are SATA HDDs and you dont need to bother with the IDE connectors. What kind of mobo is it? Also, are the HDD's new? If it is new, once you plug it in you have to go to:
-Windows Explorer -Right Click 'My Computer' -Click Manage -Expand 'Storage' & Click Disk Management
New drives have to be formatted. So format them.

If I understand you right you have 3 ide hard drives. Only one ide connection to your motherboard. You should install OS on the one that is on the ide connection, leaving the other two unplugged until you do. When done installing OS then plug in the other two and install the sata drivers that came with the motherboard cd. There should be some instructions that came with the motherboard about the ide to sata adapters.
