Subject: icon text not in My ComputerOS: Vista 32 bitCPU/Ram: 3.2Model/Manufacturer: Compaq |
Comment: Hi, I think that tweakUI may have messed this up, but in My Computer, if I put the view on small, med or large icons, no text lables appear. (just the icon) If I put it on details or tiles text shows. I have looked everywhere for a reg fix.

Reply: (edit)There is no TweakUI for Vista from Microsoft. If you used the one for Windows XP, then that may have hosed your system. If you refer to a different TweakUI, that I do not know. Anyway, if you messed up your PC, your best bet may be a system restore to a time before you made the changes. Regards SuatCINI

Reply: (edit)It is Tweak VI by Totalidea Software, but I honestly do not believe I changed any settings. I tried system restore, but it didn't have any restore points before.

Reply: (edit)Just wanted to let you know that I got it fixed by restoring Vista from an external hard drive. Thank God for casper 4.0. I am never installing TweakVI again.
