Turn off unit. Hold down the zero key and power unit on(keeping 0 depressed), should bring up the factory restore options. You will lose all your data as the unit will be like the day it was purchased.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

So… before you do the factory reset/restore… take steps to save your personal files etc. - first?

Either boot as normal (if possible) and copy them to external storage - dvd or another hard drive. Check the copies are OK too on both the system as is and ideally at least one other? If you can't boot OK try sage=moe. If still n joy… the boot with an Ubuntu dvd and copy /save files that wy? - freebie ISO download; save to a hdd; burn to a dvd; boot with that dvd.

To resolve Adobe/iTunes problems… perhaps un-install them, reboot and and re-install them anew? Is there any specific message as to why the updates won't proceed/work?
