My computer didn't come with discs of the operating system. I have to make copies myself. There had been a reminder, but I was unable to make the copies before. Now that I can, I don't remember how to do it.

It depends on the make of your machine, but as a general rule if you click on the start menu and look through the list of program folders it will be one in there, usually in a folder labelled with the computer manufacturer's name, or something like 'backup and recovery'. Look for something like 'recovery disk creator'. Come to think of it, you could also just try typing 'recovery' or 'creator' into the Windows search box & see what appears.
