Specs: Windows Vista
Keep getting message browser is offline. Sometimes the work offline button is checked, but many times it's not. Happens with all browsers, IE, Firefox, Chrome...Another pop up keeps popping up that says Hughes Net modem can't be found...then it goes away...may be related to Hughes Net Status Meter...Two windows on lower right screen indicating whether computer is connected or not keep changing from red x to blue and connected...Low Disk error also was popping up recently for no reason over and over, even after space was made...OS is Windows Vista Home Basic. ISP is Hughes Net...AVG says system is clear. I also have Webroot Spysweeper-it says no threats found. I have run MalmareBytes-found nothing...Windows firewall is on, Defender is off.

i had the same problems this is what i did to take care of the problem uninstall status meter (first go into ms config and uncheck from your startup menu then after it is gone from add/remove programs it wont show up anymore you can regularly check your status by going to in your http bar click to add to favorites bar so it is easily accesible once on page look on left you will see a blue zone click on check status it will open new breowser and show status in a straight meter goodluck

This isn't working for me. When I type the address in the bar it doesn't go anywhere, then it ends up trying to search for instead of accessing my status. All of a sudden I can't get the stupid status meter to work. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and nothing seems to work. I am running Win XP on this and I run Windows 7 on my desktop and the modem can't be found on either. It used to work on both and suddenly nothing on both.
