Comment: Hey, I have a newer HP laptop and the quick launch buttons at the top make an annoying sound when I click them. They used to make just a click, but now it is a loud beep. I was wondering how to change the sound that is made when they are pressed, or how to turn off the sound completely. I have searched a little and found nothing. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Reply: (edit)Try looking in control panel > sound and audio devices and then the sound tab. Probably a sound associated with the buttons.

Reply: (edit)I have searched a little and found nothing If you had searched HP sites you would have found THIS. BTW this question has nothing to do with Vista itself. It is more of HP-related hardware issue. i_Xp/VistaUser

Reply: (edit)hey that worked to turn off the sound. thanks. Anyone know what the file name is for the sound that the buttons make? I could just put another sound file in under that name and I think it would change. I may be mistaken, but if not, anyone know which file it is?
