How do i unlock my WD passport, i forgot my password i set several years ago. I have tried all my passwords i can remember but just cant get the right one.

are typical responses; from which you will see that the only recourse a reformat which means you lose al files. Then possibly run a file recovery process as in the links above? Although I’m not sure it will work – if the files are encrypted… If they’re not you may be able to get some of them back?
