By restoring Vista to a time prior to the problem occurrence.

Or (if your System Restore isn't working) let THIS web site fix environment variables errors automatically for you at your own risk.

If Windows is not on C:\Windows, then maybe you have to modify the path to environment variables to suit your conditions for Xp/Vista/W7User's link to work in your system.

Hey cool guy! thanks a lot for he response.
1. windows is on C:\
2. Restore not working.
As for the response from Xpuser goes, I am not able to run any program. So, that site is not helping either.
I'll try to create the variables in registry manually. If it becomes unbootable, probably more joy.

This is not how you cam add or change Environment Variables in Vista. Here is the correct way to do it (you may need to elevate your UAC)

1. Open Run Box (ΓΏ+R key).

2. Type in the command line
c:\windows\system32\SystemPropertiesAdvanced.exe

3. Click on Continue when UAC pops up. THis will open System Properties dialog box.

4. Press Environment Variables button located on the bottom of the System Properties dialog box.

There you go. Remember this - any change you add or delete from the environment variable is not per user - it is applied system (machine)-wide.
