My son installed vista on my Dell inspiron 1150 which had xp on it and i need to restore it to factory settings but cant access recovery partition, how can i do this?Someone please help!! F11 Button will not let me access recovery.

First, boot to the XP CD disc that came with your Dell Inspiron 1150. Next, allow the CD to delete Vista system partition before installing XP. Last, don't allow your son to play with your laptop again.

I dont have the disk that came with the computer I bought it at a pawn shop as we are on a limited budget

Make your son buy you a new XP disk. You can get XP on ebay. And if you have the COA on the bottom of your laptop you can get Dell branded XP on ebay. Be sure to get the version of XP that is on the COA XP Home or Xp Professional and maybe XP Media center. You will need to download drivers from Dell support site. Just put in the service tag and it should take you to the drivers page.
