i want to format the (c) partition on my laptop...but i dont know how to do it since its Vista...is it the same like XP i just put the BOOT cd in and restart..or there is more to it? regards

Most laptops have a recovery partition that can be used to restore it to the way it was when new. Did you get or make the restore disks? these would be needed if no recovery partition, as they contain not only the OS but all the drivers as well. Why do you want to format it? do you have a problem that needs attention?

its actully my dad`s....but i think he has a recovery partition, the problem is he didnt install a antivirus which is really stupid i think...and now its full of viruses,spams,and all types of tht stuff...so i think it need formatting, or do u have another solution !!
