Hi there.

If you have a recovery CD that came with the computer, insert that and boot to it.

This procedure will erase everything on your computer hard drive and re-install a pristine version plus any other programs that the Toshiba people put on it for your benefit.

That is how my IBM laptops works and my previous Acer worked so Toshiba should by all accounts be the same.

You may have to re-enter your rego key during the actual loading phase and get it activated again after install is complete.

I have been looking for an assured advice on
reformatting my toshiba laptop. i try to
understand the whole procedure with the
computer languages. I have the installation
cd - recovery and applications/drivers. 2
disc .

So, if I put in the first cd and everything
would be erased?

And if I put the 2nd cd in, everything would
be restores as it was in the beginning?

I'm new at this. Never done reformatting
before. The only reason that I am
reformatting is because my computer keeps
crashing and it is not updating. there has
been no new hardware or drives install in my
laptop. So I do not know what the blue screen
Please help
