how to reboot computer

Specs: Windows Vista
i have a toshiba laptop and i would like to fomat it to it's original state, i don't have any boot disks so i was wondering if you could give me an anwer to my problem, i have already tried pressing F11 but this doesn't work.

Just for info, reboot just means powering off then on again - you mean factory restore.

Of course it doesn't work because that's not how it's done.

To restore factory settings on your Toshiba Laptop; hold down the power button for 10 (ten) seconds to switch off your machine, press and hold the 0 (zero) key and at the same time, tap the power button once to switch on your notebook, release the 0 key and select recovery of factory default software and click next to start recovery.
