i have dell inspiron 1525 which is having windows vista home premium pre installed.Now I want to install XP on it.But it shows error msg can not install hard drive not powered

tell us the hard drive model
give us more info about the error you receive "Hard drive not powered"

Before you do that get the proper XP drivers from Dell for all the hardware in the LT
Put in on a CD or USB stick.
