how can i get around this pxe. i have formatted the hardrive and it still wont allow me to get pass the pxe. what can i do to get this off of the computer?
Mostly you'll find the option for disabling Network Boot in the system bios. While this option is enabled, when the system can't find a bootable hard drive or CD/DVD, it will try booting from network.
Additional info. The setting in the bios, may also be either LAN Boot or PXE boot.
Turn it off.
Beg to disagree. PXE boot should be the last choice in the bios for booting. This being the case you will get to a PXE boot when you don't have a bootable drive.
So first check the bios boot order that the cd/dvd is first and then the hard drive with all the other choices being after the hard drive.
Then make sure the drive has been partitioned with a primary partition, that its marked active and then formated as bootable.
