I was uninstalling my logitech webcam and all of a sudden all 4 USB ports have stopped functioning. My laptop cant recognize any of the USB ports. Earlier it was just functioning fine..till the moment i uninstalled the webcam files..I cant even find USB hub in the device manager. I read on the net that i can enable it by accessing BIOS but ic ant find it. Can anybody provide a solution..

Someone mentioned in another post that the same thing happened to them when they downloaded SP1. I haven't checked my laptops yet.

Did you restart your machine for re-detecting the USB ports & hub, just in case the ports were removed/uninstalled from Device Manager ?

If you suspect it is a BIOS thing, go into BIOS ( how to go into BIOS depends on the M/B model and make ) and browse within the tabs to locate USB descriptions. They are mostly self-explanatory.

If you see Disabled next to USB descriptions in the BIOS, make them Enabled. You may see several of them, such as USB 2, USB, Legacy USB, etc. Just read the directions as to how to enable/disable the settings. They are mostly down or by the BIOS pages.

Hope the above helps.
