Well I'm sure your "gaming" 512MB laptop does not have Vista running on it. Secondly, even 1GB of RAM is inadequate for a Vista machine that you intend to play contemporary games on.
Lastly, you need to include the full system specifications of your machine for us to better assist you in the future.

I bought the PC last week and i see that the physical memory is always 60%+ and i have a lot of lag when playing online games.However on my laptop that has 512 ram and physical memory is less i dont have any lag...is their anything i can do to reduce physical memory like buy 2gb ram?

first of physical memory is RAM, you mean you want to reduce the percentage overall by adding more ram the amount off MB of ram you use will stay the same or increase but decreace the % and virtual memory / page file that is on the hard drive will be used less as well.
so yes you need to increase physical memory RAM to 2 gig for vista.
